Massachusetts Rolls Out $75M RLF for Municipal Infrastructure
Massachusetts is launching two new revolving loan programs meant to help municipalities kick-start building projects from planning to completion. The new infrastructure lending program, dubbed Build for Mass, would provide cities and towns with flexible, low-interest financing to address funding gaps, advance priority projects, and maximize access to federal resources, according to a release from the administration.

WNC Closes $210M Affordable Housing Fund
WNC has closed a $210 million affordable housing fund that will support the creation or preservation of more than 2,000 homes across the country. WNC Institutional Tax Credit Fund 59 is investing in 18 communities and includes seven new-construction communities and 11 preservation communities, with two rehabilitations of historic properties. Five of the properties will serve seniors, while 13 will provide affordable housing for families.
EPA Announces WIFIA Application Fee Waiver for Small Communities
EPA announced that the WIFIA program will waive application and credit processing fees for some small communities with populations of 25,000 people or fewer. WIFIA currently charges small communities $25,000 to apply for a loan and a credit processing fee at loan closing, ranging from $50,000 to $150,000. The program will waive these fees while reserved administrative funds last for small communities that launch loans in Federal Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027.
