The Essex County Industrial Development Agency could get back about half the money it sank into what turned out to be a bad loan.The former Adirondack Specialty Foods plant in Chesterfield was sold for unpaid back taxes in the last Essex County tax auction, leaving the business owing about $63,000 to the IDA loan fund.

Luzerne County, PA Council Forgives $728K in RLF Debt
The Luzerne County Council voted to forgive $728,226 in community development loans so a $6.1 million downtown Wilkes-Barre redevelopment project can proceed, but another $1 million in loans owed by the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business & Industry will remain on the books.
