Terrebonne Parish, LA to Issue Solid Waste Bonds
Terrebonne Parish will issue solid waste bonds to pay for the upgrades of various sewerage projects. Of the funds being sought, $2.5 million is for gravity sewer main upgrades along Lafayette, Hobson, Honduras and Morgan streets.
Valmiki Capital to Fund LA Entrepreneurs
Valmiki 504, the Louisiana offshoot of Valmiki Capital, launched two venture funds this year to invest in Louisiana entrepreneurs. 504 will partner with a local business incubator to support fundable startups.
Jackson, LA Receives $800K Loan to Improve Water System
The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals awarded an $800,000 loan to the City of Jackson. The loan will pay for the construction of a water well to replace a well that will be abandoned due to water quality concerns.
D'Iberville, LA Council Gives TIF to Auto Dealerships
The D'Iberville City Council has agreed to provide a tax-increment financing bond for up to $2 million to help fund the development of a new BMW dealership and Mandal Buick GMC.
