Columbus, GA City Council Approves Three TADs
The Columbus City Council has unanimously approved the creation of three new tax allocation districts. The districts will included the Uptown district, the 2nd Avenue/City Village district, and the 6th avenue/Liberty district.

Invest Atlanta to Issue $150M in Bonds for Renovation
Invest Atlanta voted unanimously to issue $150 million in bonds to help finance a planned renovation of the Georgia-Pacific building. The project is expected to create up to 600 jobs at the company's downtown Atlanta headquarters.

Georgia Power to Offer Green Bonds
Georgia Power has issued $325 million in Green Bonds, becoming the first retail electric utility in the US to offer this type of security. The bonds will help support investment in sustainable generation and renewable development in Georgia.

Georgia DOT Awards $89.7M in Transportation Contracts
The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded 24 contracts worth $89.7 million for projects across the state. Multiple bridge and resurfacing projects are included in the contract.

House Votes to Create Rural Healthcare Tax Credits
House Bill 919 creates a pool of $100 million in tax credits for individuals or corporations who contribute to "rural health care organizations. The bill aims to generate investment in Georgia's rural healthcare infrastructure.

Rockdale, GA Development Authority Considers RLF
The Development Authority of Rockdale County may join a state program that offers loans to businesses in exchange for a commitment to support economic development. Loan repayments would be directed to a county-run revolving loan fund.
