Governor Rick Perry announced Toyota Motor North America is relocating its headquarters. In exchange for creating 4,000 new jobs, Texas offered Toyota an investment of $40M through the Texas Enterprise Fund.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the PACE financing program, which was signed into law last June, is nearing its launch. This program allows commercial, industrial, and multi-family property owners to obtain low-cost, long-term private sector financing for water conservation and energy-effciency improvements.

Area Development Online compiled a listing of several Texas incentive programs available to support new business and commercial investment. Programs covered include bonds, loans, and grant funds.

PACE financing will now be available in Texas for energy-efficiency and water conservation upgrades to commercial and industrial properties. The Act authorizes local governments to establish a mechanism to enable property owners to obtain long-term, low-cost financing for water conservation and energy efficiency upgrades to existing properties.
