Wacker Chemical Corporation's $60M Expansion in Calvert City
According to SurfKY News, Kentucky has been very successful in attracting foreign direct investment. Governor Steve Beshear announced the $60 million expansion of Germany-based Wacker Chemical Corporation in Calvert City.
KY Highlands Investment Corp. to Receive Funds to Increase Small Businesses
Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation has been chosen to participate in the Small Business Finance Collaborative. According to the Lane Report, the new program will help build the capacity of CDFIs and other lenders to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs across the nation.
20 Year TIF District Approved for Fort Mitchell Gateway Project
A $135 million mixed use development was approved for the former Drawbridge Inn site in Fort Mitchell, KY, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier. The project received preliminary approval for a 20-year TIF district.
Taking America's Largest Seed Fund on the Road
The Small Business Innovation Research Tour "Seeding America's Future Innovations," will focus on advanced technology communities. The tour will make its first stop in Louisville during the week of March 23.
Gateway Farmers Market Receives Funding for New Industrial Project
Warren County approved a bid for construction of phase one of Gateway Farmers Market in Bowling Green, KY and approved an agreement with a company to issue up to $30 million in bonds for a new industrial project, according to Bowling Green Daily News.
