RI Uses RLF to Fill Small Business Finance Gap
Business leaders in Rhode Island have long lamented companies' difficulties accessing capital, such as bank loans, to help finance expansions. Now, Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor said, the loan program is one of several state efforts to help small businesses pay for research and development assistance.

Urban Shepherds started as a way to mow a vacant lot in Cleveland with sheep instead of spending money on mowing. The project's long-term goal is to have a revolving loan fund set up so there is always money for people to borrow to get other areas started.
