Louisville Arena Authority to Make Higher Annual KFC Yum! Center Debt Payments
Even after refinancing a burdensome debt load, the Louisville Arena Authority would pay more per year to retire new bonds for the KFC Yum! Center than under its current plan, according to a WDRB News analysis of documents made public last week.

Buffalo Trace Wins $400K State Incentive for Expansion
Buffalo Trace Distillery is considering a $42.6 million expansion of its Frankfort facilities and upgrading its bottling operation. To encourage the investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in August approved the company for up to $400,000 in tax incentives through the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act (KEIA). 

15 States Trying to Lure Toyota-Mazda $1.6B Plant
One of the biggest potential job-creating bonanzas in the country, a giant new auto plant proposed by Toyota and Mazda, began in secret with a mysterious code name. Now it has become a full-blown race among states to try to reel in the $1.6-billion project that will create 4,000 good-paying direct jobs and thousands of other indirect jobs.

Ashland, KY to Issue $4.6M Bonds for Hotel Redevelopment
The Ashland commission has agreed in principle to let the city finance department issue bonds of about $4.6 million to help business developers turn the Ashland Plaza Hotel into a Marriott brand. The local governments established a Tax Increment Financing to secure financing for the bonds.

$700K KEDFA Incentives Support Denyo Manufacturing Expansion
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved state financial incentives in the amount of $700,000 for a portion of Denyo's expansion project. Denyo intends to also request local financial incentives to support its entire project.
