CDFA National Summit Call for Submissions
CDFA is accepting sessions submissions for the 2017 National Development Finance Summit in Atlanta this November. Session submissions on deals, projects or programs that include multiple funding sources are highly encouraged. Submissions are due by May 12, 2017.

Trump Tax Plan Worries Muni Groups
The Trump Administration has released the first outline of their tax reform plans, which has both municipal issuers and supporters worried. No mention of the municipal interest exemption is mentioned in the outline, but the cost of reform has groups concerned that the exemption may be on the chopping block.
CDFA & OSU Webcast: Energy Finance Successes to Guide Food Systems Finance
The CDFA & OSU Webcast was a special one time offering. The webcast covered the Energy Finance Landscape and explored how its successes may be applied to the Food Systems Landscape. This webcast was run by students taking the graduate level Sustainable Financing class in the Department of City and Regional Planning at The Ohio State University.
Tax Increment Financing Pays Off for Racine, WI
State law gives municipalities the tool of tax increment financing to develop or redevelop defined areas, and since 1980 the City of Racine has used it to boost its tax base by a net $181-plus million and counting.
2016 Was a Banner Year for PA Economic Development
2016 was a banner year for economic development in Pennsylvania. The Governor's Action Team (GAT) successfully completed 77 projects for companies who accepted financial assistance offers from the state. These companies pledged to create nearly 12,093 new jobs, retain nearly 24,754 jobs, and invest more than $7.8 billion in Pennsylvania.
