In 2016, the Governor's Action Team announced successful completion of 58 projects that will provide new jobs and new investment throughout Pennsylvania. Additionally Pennsylvania welcomed heavy hitters like Amazon, and innovators like BrandYourself.

The Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority is pursuing a $500,000 gaming grant that would give it enough money to seize and fix up a rundown South Side property that has bedeviled city officials for decades.
Northampton Bridges to be Replaced by State Program
An ambitious effort to replace 558 aging bridges in three years across Pennsylvania is coming to Northampton County. The public-private Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is taking aim at the bridges carrying Route 33 over Route 22 in Bethlehem Township.
PA Tests Waters With $613M Competitive Deal
Pennsylvania joins New Jersey and Connecticut -- all lower-rated states -- bringing GO offerings in a muni primary week with volume approaching $10 billion. This is occuring amid rising yields and budget strife.
PA Gets $310M in Tax Credits to Boost Investment in Distressed Areas
Five Pennsylvania-based organizations received allocations ranging from $45 to $80 million. One, PNC Community Partners, has national reach, but the rest are local organizations in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and the Midstate.
State Invests $300M In Port Of Philadelphia Improvements
A Capital Investment Program at the Port of Philadelphia will see the state invest more than $300 million in the Port's infrastructure, warehousing, and equipment. This initiative will start next year and continue through 2020.
PA Makes $30M Available for Solar Project Loans
The Solar Energy Program (SEP) has been reopened under the direction of the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The funds are available to economic development organizations and public entities such as school districts and municipalities.
