Avoiding the Potholes: U.S. P3s and Takeaways for Investors and Grantors
This recent report from Fitch Ratings highlights the completion risk inherent in new P3 projects. While most projects were successful meeting and, in some cases, beating construction schedules and budgets, several struggled in the completion phase for a multitude of reasons, including delays in third-party approvals; contractor troubles, etc.

TIF for $6B Lincoln Yards Megaproject Wins Chicago, IL CDC Approval
The developer of the proposed Lincoln Yards megaproject won approval for $900 million in tax increment financing to support new infrastructure around the riverfront site. The Cortland/Chicago River TIF district still requires various approvals before it's officially established, and its ultimate cost could rise as high as $1.3 billion.

Recap of IRS - OZ Public Hearing
On February 14, 2019 the IRS held a public hearing on it proposed regulations for Opportunity Zones and Opportunity Funds. In total, 23 groups of speakers were scheduled to present in 10-minute increments.
