Hartford, CT Looking at TIF for Chemetco Site
According to The Telegraph, Hartford officials are taking a hard look at creating a tax increment financing district encompassing the former Chemetco site, an EPA Superfund site located on Illinois Route 3.

As reported by the Southern Illinoisan, The City of Marion, IL has about $7.5 million in funds to spend on infrastructure improvements due to tax increment financing districts.
Bedford, NH Roadway Project Completed Thanks to TIF
The $5 million roadway project was fully funded by an increase in revenue generated by private investments within the district, reports the Union Leader. The TIF has increased the assessed value in that area from $112.5 million to $126.5 million in recent years.

Great Falls, MT OKs West Bank TIF Request
A portion of property along the Missouri River and West Bank Park has sat vacant for years and now a group of developers are moving forward with plans to turn it into a hotel, restaurants and office space. The City Commission approved an application to be reimbursed for up to $2.6 million in eligible tax increment financing funds, reports Great Falls Tribune.

Petitioners Push to Limit Tax Incentives in KC
A Kansas City group is attempting to collect the 1,700 signatures needed to force a public vote on its proposed reform ordinance, reports Kansas City Business Journal. The ordinance would limit property tax abatements and property tax diversions via tax-increment financing to 50 percent for all Kansas City projects for which incentives are being considered.
