Colorado EDC Approves $14.3M in Tax Credits
The Colorado Economic Development Commission has approved $14.3 million in job growth incentive tax credits for four companies looking to create 805 jobs. The Commission also approved $685,798 in spending rebates for two films, two commercial shoots, and a documentary.
NMTC Coalition Submits Testimony to Tax Policy Subcommittee
The New Markets Tax Credit Coalition submitted testimony to the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax Policy urging permanence for the credit. Rep. Neal (D-MA), Ranking Member on the subcommittee, as well as Rep. Thompson (D-CA) expressed support for the NMTC during the hearing.
Georgia Angel Investment Tax Credit
Georgia's angel tax credit program provides early investors in certain start-ups and new businesses a credit against their Georgia State income tax. The maximum credit to be allowed for all investments made in 2016, 2017, and 2018 is $5 million.

CDFA is seeking tax credit case studies nationwide to include in a new CDFA tax credit database. This database will provide users with easy access to information about tax credits, including the structure of the deal and details that will help other economic development organizations use tax credits effectively.
