The Port of Astoria Explores Bond for New Life Flight Hangar
Life Flight, which opened its first coastal base in Warrenton last spring, received $665,000 in state grants and is investing another $285,000 to build a new hangar. Two OR Investment Groups Are Taking Applications for Funding
A pair of angel investment organizations in Oregon have opened applications for entrepreneurs looking to connect. The first program, the Willamette Angel Conference, will provide up to $300,000 in investments. The second program, Cascade Angels, expects to invest between $100,000-$250,000 in up to 7 companies.
OR Has Options When it Comes to Spending the VW Settlement
The state doesn't have free rein in spending the money as most of the money has to go toward replacing old heavy-duty diesel vehicles with newer models that are 95 percent cleaner. There are around 70,000 older diesel trucks in Oregon and the Volkswagen money could take care of around 2,000 of them.
