Palmetto Goodwill Uses $19.3M in SC JEDA Bonds to Refinance Facilities
Palmetto Goodwill is using a $19.3 million bond issue through the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) to refinance its growth throughout its coastal territory. The bonds will be used to refinance acquisition costs for eight existing facilities.
DE Rolls Out PACE Program Allowing Businesses to Pay for Energy Efficiency Projects
Energize Delaware and New Castle County officials announced the launch of an initiative that will allow commercial and industrial property owners to finance energy-efficient and clean energy projects. Projects that qualify under the statewide Delaware Property Assessed Clean Energy (D-PACE) program will be financed through a voluntary assessment on property tax bills.
Shippers Press Congress to Reauthorize Ex-Im Bank Before Charter Expires
The National Association of Manufacturers is urging Capitol Hill lawmakers to pass legislation that will provide a long-term reauthorization of the U.S. Export-Import Bank before its current charter expires on Sept. 30. Ex-Im Bank has struggled to fully operate in recent years.
CDFI Fund Changes Certification Requirements for Applicants to CDFI and NACA Programs
Earlier this year, the CDFI Fund issued a Request for Public Comment on the fiscal year (FY) 2020-2022 CDFI Program and Native American CDFI Assistance Program (NACA Program) Application. After reviewing the comments received, the CDFI Fund has decided to proceed with updating the certification requirements to apply for a CDFI Program or NACA Program Financial Assistance award.

The Stevens Institute of Technology is scheduled to construct two student residential towers and a three-story university center through $270 million in bonds approved by the NJ Educational Facilities Authority. The NJEFA says the financing is anticipated to include a tax-exempt and a taxable series of bonds, all or a portion of which are authorized to be issued as Green Bonds.
Chesterfield, NH Leverages Partnership and New State Bond Law to Finance Broadband
Chesterfield leveraged changes in New Hampshire state laws that let communities issue public bonds to fund broadband networks. The town's partnership with Consolidated Communications to build a town-wide FTTH network could serve as a model for other communities.
