Revolving Loans Can Brew Rural NY's Economy
The Capital Region Agriculture, Food and Tourism business hub would include a revolving loan fund to expand employment opportunities in the region's rural economies, awarding loans to startups and those looking to grow.
Milledgeville City Council to Use RLF's to Fund Projects
Resolutions have been adopted by the Milledgeville City Council which gives the mayor the opportunity to seek funding for two proposed projects from the Georgia Cities Foundation RLF, as well as from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs Downtown Development RLF.
State RLF May Be Used to Fund New Dalles Water Treatment Plant
A final price tag for the project is yet to be determined as variables remain, but the range is expected to be between $8.7 and $11.2 million. One source, a principal-forgiveness loan through a Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund from the state of Oregon, could provide up to $500,000.
Community First Fund Starts $5M Loan Program
Jobs for Lancaster will be a revolving loan fund, with the average borrower — most likely a small business owner who can't get competitively priced financing elsewhere — receiving $52,000. As borrowers repay their loans, those repaid dollars will be recycled into new loans.
Newnan Approves $75K Loan for Urban Redevelopment Authority
Newnan's Urban Redevelopment Authority plans to begin rehabilitating houses and then sell them to new homeowners. The money from the home sales will be put into a fund to buy and rehab more houses. The Newnan City Council approved a $75,000 loan to get the project off the ground.
New $21M Seattle RLF Targets Transit Oriented Development
Seattle joined with public and private partners to launch the Regional Equitable Development Initiative (REDI) Fund, a $21 million RLF to provide early low-cost financing for acquisition of transit-accessible property to build housing for low-income, working families.
Duluth, MN Creates Brownfield RLF
The city of Duluth has received a $650,000 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant that will fund loans to remediate brownfield properties. Loans up to $200,000 per project will be available.
Sandusky is Going After Companies Who Have Defaulted on Loans
The City has already struck a deal with Admiral's Daughter for $3,400. Sandusky officials will continue to examine companies with outstanding debt on an individual basis in order to determine how much each company should pay back to the City.
