Vets Get Discount Loans for Green Home Improvements
SELF is funding energy efficient home project loans for veterans and working with contractors who hire and train veterans turned tradesmen to do the installation for the projects, according to CBS12.
FL County to Challenge Federal Bond Allocation for Train
Indian River Co. plans to challenge the USDOT's $1.75B PAB allocation for the All Aboard Florida passenger train project. Traffic impacts, delays for emergency vehicles, flood, and archeological issues are among the concerns raised by the county, according to The Bond Buyer.
Florida's City of Venice Issues $15.4M Green Muni Bond
The City of Venice, Florida, has issued a $15.4M green muni bond. It has 18 tranches with maturities ranging from 2016-2035 and coupons between 2-5%. The bond is rated AA, Aa2 and AA by S&P, Moody's and Fitch respectively.
Village Center CDD Disagrees With IRS
According to The Bond Buyer, the IRS claims bonds the Village Center Community Development District in Florida issued are taxable. The CDD disagrees with the IRS notices claiming that it is not treated as a political subdivision nor are its bonds PABs.
Destin, FL Resort Gets $44M Loan for Development
Financing for the first phase of a new $300 million beach resort and spa development includes an EB-5 component of about $50 million and a $44 million construction loan, according to Avison Young and Mortgage Observer Weekly.
