According to The Republic, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. will receive $750,000 from the city to fund three programs that school district leaders say will help strengthen the local economy.

A firm that wants to build affordable senior housing and affordable workforce housing on two blighted parcels in Gardiner was approved for tax increment financing by the Gardiner City Council, reports centralmaine.com.

As reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a redevelopment of the old Chrysler assembly plant site advanced a step Wednesday after the St. Louis County Tax Increment Financing Commission recommended that the St. Louis County Council approve more than $50 million in incentives for the project.

In supporting the resolution, the school board agrees to have 46 acres designated a TIF district, reports The Sentinel. The plans call for a 100-unit hotel, a 650-space parking garage, 30 residential garages, 86 two-story townhouse units, 92 midrise apartment units, about 120,000 square feet of office space, 18,000 square feet of restaurant space and 14,000 square feet of retail space.

The Baltimore City Planning Commission unanimously approved the tax increment financing for the Port Covington project, reports WBALTV.

The Northfield City Council stressed its support for the Save the Northfield Depot's initiative, and plans to approve $150,000 worth of tax increment financing funds to the project, according to northfieldnews.com.
