Portland Development Commission Winner of Development Finance Award The CDFA Distinguished Development Finance Local Agency Award will be presented to Portland Development Commission for being the driving force in Portland's reputation for vibrancy and livability. Financing Innovation & Entrepreneurs at Roundtable Conference In this session, representatives from Business Oregon, OEN, Oregon State University, and U.S. SBA will use models and case studies to spread awareness of tools available to finance innovation and entrepreneurs. OR Capital Scan Project Released In a press release issued by the University of Oregon, a new resource called Oregon Capital Scan is provided for Oregon entrepreneurs. This report is a catalog of funding sources including Kickstarter campaigns to angel investors to traditional bank loans and more. MA Rules Still Confusing Many The SEC municipal advisor registration rule is still leaving many confused. The Bond Buyer's California Public Finance Conference brought issuers, dealers, regulators, and municipal advisors together to express their thoughts on the subject. P3s Continue to Grow Despite Criticism According to American City and County, interest in P3s is increasing despite the criticism. Legislation for P3s on social infrastructure projects has spread across the nation, and 49 states have statutes for projects such as libraries, schools and parking lots.
