RENEW Multi-Family Program Preserves WA Affordable Housing
The innovative RENEW Multi-family program helps preserve the supply of affordable housing by using energy and water efficiency upgrades to reduce owners' operating costs – lowering utility bills enough to offset the cost of the efficiency improvements.
States Across the US Are Finding Innovative Ways to Finance Energy
Many of the initiatives to move our energy system towards clean, renewable power emanate from the state and local levels. A few cities have already reached the 100 percent clean energy mark, with many more committing to eventually meet that standard.
WA State Budget Deal Reached, but Details Are Sparse
News of the deal came on a day considered to be the "drop-dead" deadline for a state budget agreement to be printed up, reviewed and passed out of the Legislature. Legislative staff and lawmakers will be up against the wire to identify and correct any small — or big — errors found in the budget bill.
Commerce Awards $2.3M for WA Clean Energy Research
Funded projects include innovative wave energy technology, a hybrid aircraft, bioenergy and small-scale electric power generation. The grants total just over $2.3 million, matched by another $33.2 million in non-state funding.

This event will feature a number of economic development finance experts from around the state discussing development finance tools, authorities, resources and approaches, and how these can affect the Washington economy going forward.
CDFA Summer School
August 7 - 11, 2017 - Minneapolis, MN
CDFA Summer School is a week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. These courses qualify for the CDFA Training Institute's Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Participants may register for one, two, or three courses during CDFA Summer School. Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program.
