Kellogg Foundation Announces $10M Investment in Small Business Loan Fund
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has announced a $10 million investment to establish the Battle Creek Small Business Loan Fund. Kellogg will make an immediate $1 million investment in the Battle Creek Small Business Fund and will match local investments 2:1, up to $10 million.
MO Governor Won't Reinstate LIHTC This Year
New Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said he has no plans to reinstate a popular low-income housing tax credit program. In 2017, the Missouri Housing Development Commission voted to cut the program, a move led by then-Gov. Eric Greitens' appointments to the commission.

New DEED Loan Program Offers Interest-Free Loans for MN Startups
Minnesota Innovation Loans for Entrepreneurs (MILE) is a pilot program that will provide interest-free loans ranging from $20,000 to $50,000. Businesses approved for loans under the program must have a 1-to-1 match from another funder and repay the loan within four years, with no payments required in the first year.

California residents can tap into more attractive financing to make their homes more energy efficient and comfortable thanks to the Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program (REEL). REEL has helped finance more than 180 projects, representing over $3 million in financing.
Third ACRF Financing Closed in Akron, OH
The $700,000 loan will be used by Rubber City McDonald's to finance the purchase and improvements of a building located at 55 Furnace Street. Rubber City McDonald's will consolidate its headquarters operations and add training space into one central downtown location.
States Request $82B for Water Infrastructure
New data show that project requests to fund water and wastewater infrastructure projects through the U.S. EPA-administered State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program have increased 25 percent since last year according to new analysis from Bluefield Research.
EDA Launches 2018 Regional Innovation Strategies Program
The U.S. EDA has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the 2018 Regional Innovation Strategies program competition. Up to $21 million is available through the program to help spur innovation capacity-building activities in regions across the nation.
