CDFA's Bipartisan Modernizing Agricultural and Manufacturing Bonds Act (MAMBA) Introduced in U.S. House
CDFA, along with NCOSAFP, are pleased to announce that U.S. Representatives Darin LaHood (IL-16), Randy Feenstra (IA-04), Terri Sewell (AL-07) and Dwight Evans (PA-03) have introduced the Modernizing Agricultural and Manufacturing Bonds Act (MAMBA) in the U.S. House on Tuesday, June 2, as H.R. 9100. With MAMBA now introduced in both chambers, CDFA will continue to push to get MAMBA passed.

This toolkit is a guide for communities to identify and advocate for tracts that are most likely to attract capital that aligns with community priorities and lay the groundwork for implementing local policies and programs to drive impactful OZ investments.

NOFO: $4.04B for FY 2026 Continuum of Care Competition and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Grants
HUD announced $4.04B to better serve America's vulnerable populations through the Continuum of Care (CoC) homelessness assistance program. This program shifts away from a 'housing first' solution to focus on the necessary reforms for mental health support and addiction recovery.
NOFO: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Grant Program
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Grant Program is offering grants of up to $20 million to support pre-disaster mitigation activities that reduce disaster losses, protect life and property from future disaster damages, and increase community resilience to natural hazards. The deadline to submit applications is July 23, 2026.
NOFO: Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program (CRISI)
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Program is offering funding with no predetermined award maximum for projects that improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of intercity passenger and freight rail. Competitive projects will reduce train accidents, highway-rail grade crossing incidents, and trespass incidents, and/or restore and modernize core assets. Applications due June 22, 2026.
NOFO: Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program
This competitive program helps rural communities use advanced telecommunications technology to overcome the effects of remoteness and low population density. Based on Fiscal Year 2026 appropriated funding, the agency estimates that approximately $27 million will be available. Applications are due June 30, 2026.
NOFO: DOE Opens $3.5M Microgrid Funding Opportunity for Remote Communities
The U.S. Department of Energy opened a new funding opportunity offering up to $2.5 million in direct project support and about $1 million in technical assistance to support microgrid development in remote and isolated regions. Applications are due July 2, 2026.

The Quality Assurance Inspector will assist DHCD programs achieve production goals and ensure compliance with program rules and regulations. This position is responsible for evaluating the work performed by Energy Retrofit Service Providers.
