Burlington, VT Celebrates Opening of Rebuilt Northern Waterfront
As reported by Vermont Biz, officials celebrated the opening of the northern waterfront, a decades-long effort to reclaim the waterfront from its post-industrial history and convert it to modern use. About $3.9 million in tax increment financing was used to support construction costs.

Planning Commission Advances Planned TIF District for East Tulsa
Tulsa World reports the plan to create a 25-year, $20 million sales tax increment financing district for an east Tulsa outlet mall received another stage of approval. The plan is an unusual TIF District because it only seeks sales taxes, rather than property and other taxes normally sought in a TIF.

Casino Presses Its Luck with Tax Financing Plan
Developers are seeking up to $30 million in tax increment financing for the development of a new casino in Las Vegas, NV, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Developers argue without the TIF financing or an additional $25 million in EB-5 funding, the project will be shuttered.
