Incentives Watch: GA Best Business Climates for Second Year in a Row
For the second year in a row, Georgia topped the list of Site Selection's annual ranking of state business climates. Georgia also ranked second in business climate, behind Texas, in a survey of corporate site selectors, which accounted for 50 percent of the overall rankings.
PACENow Provides 2014 Recap & Highlights
PACENow reports on the successes of 2014 from across the country with a growing number of operational programs building demand and completing projects. Completed projects for the year are estimated at 25,000 for the residential market and 300 for the commercial market.
Challenge to Braves Stadium Funding Moves Ahead in GA Supreme Court
In response to Cobb County's plan to fund construction of the new Atlanta Braves stadium, three Cobb residents have filed briefs to challenge the $397 million in bonds being used. According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, residents are questioning whether the stadium is a public facility and argue that the county should have called a public vote on the bonds.
Rockdale, GA Development Authority Approves Acuity Deal
Acuity Brands will expand their operations in Rockdale and Dekalb counties thanks to a recently approved tax incentives package, according to Rockdale News. The Rockdale County Development Authority approved the deal that is expected to bring 700 jobs and invest more than $16 million into the counties over the next five years.
