Early Bird Rates End This Friday for CDFA Summer School
August 7-11, 2017 - Minneapolis, MN
CDFA Summer School is a week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. These courses qualify for the Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Join us in Minneapolis, and start down the road to personal and professional advancement. Courses include: Fundamentals of Economic Development Finance, Intro Bond Finance, Intro Brownfields Finance, Intro Energy and Water Finance, and Intro Revolving Loan Fund.

Dane County Joins List of Counties Joining WI PACE Program
A number of other Wisconsin counties that have already adopted PACE Wisconsin, including: Eau Claire, La Crosse, Douglas, Dunn, Chippewa, Iowa, Jefferson, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Racine, Washington, Ashland, Bayfield, Manitowoc, Marathon, Ozaukee, St. Croix, and Wood.

$22.5M WHEFA Bond Financing Supports Student Housing
Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA was used to help Haymarket Concepts, LLC refinance an interim taxable loan, the proceeds of which were used to finance the acquisition, construction and equipping of Haymarket Landing, a six-story, 119 unit/400 bed student residence.

$42.5M WHEFA Bond Supports Carthage College
Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will be used to help Carthage College finance the acquisition, construction, renovation and equipping of a new approximately 52,000 square foot student residence hall that will connect existing residence halls on the Carthage campus.

$500K WEDC Grant Supports Historic Factory Renovation
The 108-year-old La Crosse Plow building, vacant for the last 23 years, now has a chance to contribute again to the downtown area. The re-development plans include commercial, office, and retail space on the first floor as well as 60 loft-style apartments on the second and third floor.

How is the WI Historic Tax Credit so Successful?
Since increasing the Historic Preservation Tax Credit in 2013, the state has meaningfully supported the preservation of its historic assets. Today, Wisconsin provides a tax credit of up to 20 percent of qualified expenses for the rehabilitation of historic buildings.

Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program.
