Last fall, a citizen task force studied the issue of transportation funding. Their efforts resulted in several pieces of legislation considered by the Legislature this year. Lawmaker Proposes Tax Credit Extension in AZ
Chandler Rep. Jeff Weninger's proposal extends a job-creation tax credit for big companies that had been set to expire this year until 2025. It also gives super-fast depreciation to Intel and other manufacturers in special trade zones that already pay a lower tax rate on new equipment.
