Highlighting PACE Projects in Opportunity Zones
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing is taking hold across the county through several innovative programs. Investments in clean energy and infrastructure projects are growing rapidly, and the need for sustainable financing solutions has become more important every day. From renewable energy source development to the retrofitting and renovation of existing buildings and systems, energy finance has become a driving force in the economic development community. During this session, panelists will examine case studies and explore some targeted tactics for implementing PACE with Opportunity Zones to successfully finance a project.

Opportunity Zones have been designated in numerous distressed communities throughout the country. During this session, speakers from different federal agencies will convene to discuss ways they can support projects in Opportunity Zones and encourage Opportunity Fund investments into the most highly distressed areas around the country.

Tax credit programs exist to help communities create jobs and energize their economies. Although, these innovative tools seem to be underused, they are compatible with the Opportunity Zones incentive. During this session, the panel will explore best practices for using financing with tax credits in an Opportunity Zone.
