    Energy Efficiency Financing Programs
    Investments in clean energy and infrastructure projects are growing rapidly, and the need for sustainable financing solutions becomes more important every day. From new production facilities and renewable energy source development to the retrofitting and renovation of existing buildings and systems, energy finance has become a driving force in the economic development community. Several new financing programs are emerging in the region, and this session will focus on special district financing and other mechanisms to invest in energy savings.

Join industry experts from across the region as they explore proven approaches for financing infrastructure with a special focus on the BNSF Railway's newest rail/freight intermodal facility in Edgerton, Kansas. A discussion on the various forms of capital used for the financing will be featured, along with ideas to inspire other opportunities for infrastructure finance.

    Lunch Session: Financing the Applied Aviation Research Center at Kansas State
    Kansas State Polytechnic is one of the first, and still one of the few, universities in the country to offer a bachelor's degree in unmanned aircraft systems. The UAS program is the principle initiative of the university's Applied Aviation Research Center. This special luncheon session will feature the story of how the AARC was financed through an innovated public-private partnership between the University, the city, and their partners.

    Tour of the Kansas State UAS Lab and Flight Pavilion
    Join us as we explore the Unmanned Aviation Systems Lab and enclosed flight pavilon at Kansas State University Polytechnic. This facility provides a unique opportunity for research, development, and flights on the campus. The group will be able to tour the Lab, as well as see demonstrations of technologies in flight. Don't miss this interactive end to the conference as we explore the themes of the day's discussion in action.
