Riverfront Spaces Have Become Epicenter of Pittsburgh's Development A recent study estimates about $130 million has been invested in trails and other improvements in the last 15 years. That, in turn, has helped to spur nearly $4.1 billion in development. Gov. Wolf Announces Tax Credits to Help Finance Shopping Center in Philly Gov. Tom Wolf announced that Commonwealth Cornerstone Group has completed a $7 million new markets tax credit (NMTC) financing transaction that will help fund construction of a new $29 million shopping center in Philadelphia. PA Senate Sends Slimmed Down Budget to Governor In the latest strange turn to Pennsylvania's budget drama, the Senate early Wednesday evening sent to Gov. Tom Wolf a slimmed-down, $30.3 billion spending plan that the House of Representatives had favored. Allegheny County Looking to Develop 150 Acre Brownfield The Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County is looking for development options for more than 150 acres of brownfield space surrounding a former steel yard in Rankin. Ag. Finance Moves Forward with State House Approval According to the Pennsylvania Business Daily, legislation was approved that enables farm credit institutions to continue guaranteeing loans for agricultural projects. The legislation is intended to strengthen both agriculture and tourism-related enterprises.
