Invest Atlanta Taking Westside TAD Applications
Invest Atlanta announced the application process for the Westside Tax Allocation District (TAD) Community Improvement Fund is open to developers and community groups. The fund will invest $15 million in capital projects aimed at revitalizing the Vine City, English Avenue and Castleberry Hill neighborhoods.
Rome, Other GEMS Cities Get Extra Help from State
DCA Commissioner Gretchen Corbin said the new program will offer an opportunity for Rome and the other cities to build on their progress. The DCA will work closely with leaders in all five cities over the next three years, providing technical assistance toward meeting specific goals.
Atlanta BeltLine Plan Employs Workforce Partnership Model
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership is bringing together leaders from public, private, non-profit, educational, and community organizations to facilitate a new model of workforce development that will result in better connections for the employers and the residents living, or desiring to live, along the Atlanta BeltLine corridor.
State PAB Volume Caps Jump for 2014
The Bond Buyer reports that states will be allowed to issue 5.2% more of private activity bonds in 2014, freeing money for projects that would otherwise be ineligible for tax-exempt financing. Included are graphics demonstrating the volume cap changes from 2013 to 2014 by state.
