ROTH Capital Partners to Host Corporate Access Day Businesswire reports that ROTH Capital Partners, an investment bank focused on emerging growth companies and their investors on December 15 in Chicago, IL. TIF Fund Transfer Proposed in Wheaton The Chicago Tribune reports that Wheaton officials are proposing a shift of almost $1.6M in surplus funds from one of the oldest TIF districts on the west side of the central business district to a new TIF district on Main St. Will Co. Eyes $225M Bond Sale for Building Projects The Chicago Tribune reports that the Will County Board committee is proposing a sale of $225 million in bonds to pay for three major building projects, including a new county courthouse in downtown Joliet. Historic Preservation Efforts Underway Throughout Springfield Area The State Journal-Register reports that increased awareness of the significance of historic buildings, federal historic tax credits, and other forces have led to an escalation in renovation projects in the Springfield area. IL Electric Coop Gets $25M for Electric Grid Upgrades Journal Courier reports that the Illinois Electric Cooperative is upgrading 120 miles of distribution lines thanks to a $25M loan from the USDA's Office of Rural Development, dedicating more than $1M to be used towards a smart grid system. Knoxville Plan Commission Approves 3 TIF Projects According to The Register-Mail, the Knoxville Plan Commission has approved three projects for funding from the city's tax increment financing district.
