$2.6B TX P3 Project Represents Future of Infrastructure Dev.
According to Construction Dive, the LBJ Expressway, a $2.6 billion highway reconstruction project located in Dallas, incorporated an innovative financing strategy that could serve as an example for future large-scale infrastructure projects.

UHV Bringing Communities Together for Regional Economic Development
The Victoria Advocate reports that the University of Houston-Victoria has created the new Center for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship in an effort to bring together people and ideas from across 11 counties. The regional center was created as a way to create rural jobs, increase community awareness and involvement in regional economic development and better prepare the region for economic stability during cyclical downturns.

Texas Law on P3 Selection Process Takes Effect
As reported by the National Council on Public-Private Partnerships, a new law established the Center for Alternative Finance and Procurement within the Texas Facilities Commission, which will consult with government agencies regarding best practices for procuring and financing qualifying projects. The legislation is expected to help municipalities with tight budgets by giving them more access to private financing for infrastructure projects.
