CA Startup Will Expand in Portland
According to the Oregonian, a California startup plans to expand into Portland to hire more than 200 employees. If the startup meets the employment targets, then they won't have to repay a $400,000 loan from the state.
USDA Invests $285K in OR, $20M Nationwide to Increase Jobs
In Oregon, nine organizations across the state are receiving funds to assist existing and emerging entrepreneurs. A diversified economy includes a variety of businesses, which create jobs and strengthen the local community.
OR Landed $450K to Help Companies Find Export Markets
Business Oregon has landed a $450,000 grant to help spur exports for locally made goods and services. According to Portland Business Journal, only 1 percent of American businesses tap into foreign markets. Business Oregon's export program has allotted $1.2 million in SBA funds over the last three years.
