Packaging Plant Rebuilding With Bonds After Fire
Three months after a major fire at a south Bibb County packaging plant, the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority approved a plan to authorize up to $50 million in taxable industrial development revenue bonds to help Pactiv Corp. rebuild.

Transit Leader Proposes TAD Help Fund Streetcar Project
Chatham Area Transit CEO will propose the creation of a tax allocation district for part of downtown and West Savannah to come up with $16M to help secure a federal grant for its streetcar expansion project. The Downtown Tax Allocation District is projected to generate anywhere from $36-84M in revenue.

Joint Development Authority Votes To Approve $5.9M GEFA Loan
The Joint Development Authority (JDA), the JDA accepted a resolution to approve a $5.9 million Georgia Environmental Facilities Administration (GEFA) loan for the construction of an onsite wastewater treatment facility in Morgan County. The loan will have an extremely low interest rate of 1.8% over the 30-year term.
