Texas Natural Gas Grants Totaling $53M
According to USA Today, three State grants supported the construction of new natural gas fueling stations and the adoption of natural gas vehicles. The UTSA Institute for Economic Development released a study showing that the grants generated $128 million in economic impact and supported 927 full-time jobs.

TX Approves Addison Oil and Gas Crowdfunding Platform
Crudefunders Portal Texas LLC, received approval to allow non-accredited investors the chance to fund up to $5,000 in oil and gas projects. According to Dallas Business Journal, the Crudefunders website also has resources intended to help investors make informed decisions.

$240M Redevelopment Gets Nod for TIF Amendment
According to the Dallas Business Journal, a $240 million redevelopment of a 52-story vacant skyscraper received approval on modifications to its tax increment financing requirements.

Texas Rural Made
As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's factsheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.

Comptroller Hegar Distributes $873M in Sales Tax Revenue
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts issued a press release stating that state sales tax revenue in February was up 8.9 percent compared to last year. Comptroller Hegar will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts their tax allocations totaling $873.1 million.

Governor Abbott Announces Restructuring in Economic Development Division
The Governor's Office announced to increase the agency's focus on economic development and job creation. Governor Abbott formally announced that Bryan Daniel has been appointed Director of Economic Development and Tourism.
