Rome-Floyd Development Authority OKs Bond Swap
Rome-Floyd Development Authority approved a resolution allowing DermaTran Health Solutions to change the backers of a $7 million bond package. The original financing for the deal was to come from Southern Highlands. Since then, DermaTran opted to switch to Citizens First Bank of Rome.

DOE OKs $6.5B Loan Guarantees for 2 GA Nuclear Reactors
The U.S. Department of Energy is expected to give final approval for $6.5 billion in loan guarantees for two nuclear reactors under construction in Georgia by a consortium led by Southern Co.

Atlanta Council Approves Perry-Bolton TAD Bonds, Audit
The Atlanta City Council at its meeting approved authorization of the Perry-Bolton Tax Allocation District (TAD) bonds. The Perry-Bolton/northwest Atlanta TAD was established in 2002 to redevelop more than 500 acres of underdeveloped real estate. The Perry-Bolton TAD has at least four projects under construction.

GEFA Loans to Pay for Infrastructure Projects
The town of Braselton, and the cities of Claxton, Elberton, Flowery Branch, Pooler, Thomaston, and Unadilla were awarded financing totaling $15,481,809 for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) board of directors. Five of the loans include water conservation activities and qualify for a reduced interest rate.

GA Republican Unveils Solar Leasing Bill
Georgia property owners would be able to contract directly with solar energy installers to finance the installation of solar panels under legislation introduced in the General Assembly. The bill would let property owners lease solar panels instead of having to buy them with cash up front.
