CMAP 2040: Support Economic Innovation
As part of its regional comprehensive plan, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) introduced a plan to catalyze economic innovation throughout the region through the year 2040.
Elmhurst, IL Council OKs TIF Funds for Wilder Crossing Project
According to the Chicago Tribune, the recently approved Wilder Crossing condominium project will utilize $746K in city tax increment financing to relocate utilities.
Illinois Rural Made
As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's factsheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.
Illiana Expressway Suddenly Hits Roadblock
Governor Bruce Rauner, Illinois' newest governor, halted the Illiana Expressway for further review of the project. The 50-mile expressway is projected to cost up to $1.5 billion.
