SC Lured Volvo with $204M Incentives Package
An almost $204 million incentives package help bring Volvo Cars first American Factory to South Carolina, reports Charleston business. Volvo plans to invest $500 million in the project and create 4,000 jobs over the next decade.

USDA Announces Funding for Smart Grid and 1000 Miles of Line
South Carolina will build or improve 605 miles of electric transmission and distribution lines thanks to a USDA loan for $54.8 million. An additional loan for $3 million will be used for storm damage restoration.

SC Microloan Program Starts with $200,000
Small businesses with five or fewer employees are now eligible to receive loans of up to $10,000 through South Carolina's Microenterprise Development Act, as reported by Savannah Now.
