County Approves Tax Incentives for Two $200M Projects
Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved tax incentives for two $200 million projects planned in the Edinburg area, reports The Monitor. Tax abatements were approved for South Texas Electric Cooperative and Hidalgo Wind Farms over five- and ten- years, respectively.

Austin City Council Signs Off on COTA Incentives
According to Austin Business Journal, a split Austin City Council approved two measures that allow the Circuit of The America's racetrack and event venue to apply for state special events sales tax rebates.

Houston Embraces Private Clean Energy Finance Program
The Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program has been adopted by Houston as a citywide private clean energy finance program. As reported by Environmental Defense Fund, PACE will help Houston building owners undertake much-needed water and energy efficiency improvements through private financing without steep upfront costs. 

Officials Approve Incentives for General Motors Subsidiary SA Project
As reported by San Antonio Business Journal, GM Financial reached a tax abatement agreement worth $339,594. The firm was also awarded $2.5 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund, an economic incentive tool used to entice new companies at the discretion of the governor's office.

The Hotel That HUD Built
According to the Dallas Observer, the Dallas City Council approved an $11 million loan back by its federal Housing and Urban Development funds to build a new boutique hotel. An additional $2.3 million in TIF funds is being used to fund infrastructure costs.
