Missouri Green Banc and Allectrify Lead $400K C-PACE Loan in Rural Missouri
The Missouri Green Banc, a nonprofit green lender and affiliate of the Missouri Clean Energy District, and Allectrify, a public benefit corporation that specializes in helping banks offer C-PACE loans to developers and small-business owners, announced the closing of a $400,000 C-PACE loan to finance the installation of solar PV systems for Porter Farms in Mercer County, MO.

New York Launches $20M State Energy Financing Fund
New York announced a $20 million State Energy Financing Fund for entities offering affordable financing for decarbonization projects that deliver benefits to disadvantaged communities. This financing vehicle provides a complementary funding opportunity for entities also applying to the U.S. DOE's Clean Energy Financing Program to support capital deployment for projects that reduce emissions from the built environment, including buildings and other infrastructure. 

Issuance of Bonds for Downtown TIF Improvements Discussed in Rochelle, NY
The Rochelle City Council discussed the option of issuing alternate revenue bonds not to exceed $2.5 million for the purpose of paying the cost of improvements to the city's downtown tax-increment financing district and resolved to move forward and look into the issue further. City staff has identified numerous infrastructure projects needed in the area such as site redevelopment, installation of parking lots and sidewalks, and other improvements.

U.S. EPA Report Major Emissions Reductions in Electricity Sector Due to IRA
The U.S. EPA released a new report that finds that the Inflation Reduction Act spurs major carbon dioxide emission reductions from the U.S. electricity sector and across the economy. The report relies upon results from state-of-the-art models to assess how the IRA's investments in clean electricity and other climate solutions across sectors will reduce emissions.

Pennsylvania Allocates $2.2M in New PIDA Loans
Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger announced the recent approval of three new low-interest loans through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) to support business expansions and help spur the economy in Beaver, Elk, and Westmoreland counties. Pennsylvania-based businesses across a variety of industries are eligible to apply for PIDA loans including agriculture.

$51M Affordable Housing Development Completed in Westchester County, NY
Governor Kathy Hochul announced the completion of a $51 million, all-electric affordable housing development that will bring 82 affordable apartments to downtown Peekskill in Westchester County. Financing for this development included $8.9 million in permanent tax-exempt bonds, $12.1 million in federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and $12.3 million in subsidy from New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
