GEFA Loan Program Interest Rates
Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) released a loan program interest rates document associated with receiving GEFA financing. GEFA will charge the following interest rates for the types of loans listed in the document according to the requested amortization period.

Legislature OKs Downtown Investment Bill
The General Assembly gave final passage to legislation encouraging private investment in downtown redevelopment projects. The state Senate voted to create a revolving, low-interest loan fund to be distributed by the Georgia DCA to local governments or development authorities to help finance downtown improvement projects.

Georgia Communities Receive Infrastructure Loans Totaling $29M
The cities of Danielsville, Griffin, Hinesville, LaFayette, Lavonia, Leesburg, Tybee Island, Walnut Grove, and The Albany Water, Gas & Light Commission were awarded financing totaling $29,096,000 for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority.

Georgia Senate Passes P3 Bill
State agencies and local governments could turn to the private sector to help construct and finance public buildings under a bill the Georgia Senate passed. The bill passed the Senate 43-8, but not before several senators questioned the process that would be used to select P3 projects.
