New GA Program Aimed at Saving Energy, Water at Institutions As reported by the Athens Banner-Herald, the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority is rolling out the Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracting Program for efficiency projects, piloting $4M at UGA and GA Tech. Georgia Attracts Low Interest Rates on Bonds Atlanta Business Chronicle covers the announcement by Gov. Deal of the recent GO bond sales totaling $982.9M for construction and infrastructure projects. The ultra-low interest rates are thanks to the state's AAA rating. Aragon Creating Enterprise Zone According to Northwest Georgia News, the City of Aragon has a go-ahead to create an Enterprise Zone. Qualifying businesses locating or expanding within the Zone will eligible for certain tax incentives for job creation and capital investment in the community.
