SELF Closes It's First Pace Loan with Adams Ranch
St. Lucie County's new Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program is officially open. Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF) closed on the first loan with Adams Ranch.
Osceola County Approves $67.5M in Bonds
The Orlando Sentinel reported Osceola County Commission approved up to $67.5 million in bonds to fund UFC "smart sensors" research center. The bonds are backed by sales tax revenues and have a higher interest rate than general revenue bonds.
FL Gov. Proposes $77B Budget
According to The Bond Buyer, Gov. Scott reduced $272 million in revenues from various programs. Additionally, he limited use of debt financing and recommended $268 million in bond issuance for transportation programs.
Miami's 'Eiffel Tower' Using EB-5
The developer of SkyRise tower is planning on funding the project mostly from EB-5 financing. NBC News reports Miami-Dade County will fund $9 million of the $430 million project and the developer is in the process of committing $30 million of his own money.
Steel Company Expands at Tampa Port, Creates 108 Jobs
The Tampa Tribune reports Tampa Tank's expansion project is the result of a partnership with the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp., the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, which provided state and local incentives totalling $2 million.
