METCO Awards More Than $1M in Small-Business Loans
The Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation (METCO) has awarded small-business loans to four businesses totalling $1.2 million. According to Louisville Business First, the loans will assist the owners as they invest additional capital to cover startup costs and renovations.
Promise Zone Identifies More Than $200M for 8 Counties
Over the next 7 years, more than $200 million will be distributed to an eight-county region in Kentucky. According to WYMT, the funds come from a combination of federal grants, private foundations, federal loans, private investments, and other sources of money from outside the Promise Zone.
KY Issues Bonds for Statewide Internet System
Kentucky is financing a statewide high-speed Internet system in a first-of-its kind P3 deal that market participants said should offer higher yield to investors.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, as conduit issuer, is pricing $230.05 million of 30-year tax exempt bonds.
