Building Local Food Systems to Foster Economic Growth
The USDA reports that Texas is among the top five states for Federal local food investments as part of USDA's StrikeForce Initiative for Rural Growth and Opportunity, which coordinates USDA assistance in the nation's most economically challenged rural areas.
U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $1.5M in TX
According to KBTX News 3, the Village of Salado received a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce to upgrade critical infrastructure and support business growth.

TIF Funds Approved for Apartments in Downtown Fort Worth
Two apartment projects received $7.6 million in tax increment financing funds in downtown Fort Worth, according to the Star-Telegram. The funds will help the combined $26.6 million projects with site work, utility relocations, road repairs, and streetscape costs.
