$4M USDA Grant Could Solve Clarendon, TX Water Issues
Ongoing water issues in Clarendon have prompted city officials to consider using USDA funds to repair failing their fire hydrants and related infrastructure.
Temple, TX City Council Approves Nearly $2.5M for City Projects
The Temple City Council has authorized a $2 million water and wastewater line replacement project, in addition to a $300,000 sidewalk improvement project and a $158,000 roof replacement at the Summit Recreation Center.
San Antonio Credit Union Supports Austin RLF with $75K Fund
PeopleFund Inc., an Austin based micro-lender, received a $75,000 loan from Generations Federal Credit Union. The loan will add to the PeopleFund's revolving loan fund.
$25M Bond to Finance Plugerville, TX Trail Improvements
The Pflugerville City Council awarded a construction contract of $850,000 to Muniz Concrete and Contracting Inc. to improve local trails and walkways. A $25 million parks bond approved by voters in 2014 will fund the project.
USEDA Awards $1M to the City of Plainview and Hale County, TX
The U.S. Economic Development Administration has awarded $1 million to the City of Plainview and Hale County to make water infrastructure improvements to the new regional business park.
Cameron County, TX Hesitant to Proceed with TIRZ
Cameron County officials are reluctant to grant South Padre Island a TIRZ given that the Island no longer plans to expand its convention center with the funds.
$14M in Water Utility Bonds Funds Arlington, TX Ozone Treatment
The City of Arlington will use water utility bonds to finance the purchase of ozone generators and other equipment for the John F. Kubala and Pierce-Burch Water Treatment Plants.
