MO Housing Tax Credits are Important to St. Louis
Missouri's ongoing war to balance the budget has most recently found a battlefield in the form of tax credits. Credits have been a target of Gov. Eric Greitens since he took office, and with a reluctance to raise taxes and many services still in need of funding, that's a reasonable place to look for savings.

St. Louis IDA Advances $45M Tax Exempt Bonds for Ice Center
St. Louis County and the group spearheading the project, the St. Louis Legacy Ice Foundation, are still firming up a financing package dependent on many organizations beyond the Blues committing to long term leases of ice time. Plus, the National Park Service will need to sign off on the facility's proposed location.

St. Louis County IDA Advances Millions in Bonds for Maryland Heights Ice Center
A new practice facility for the St. Louis Blues moved closer to reality Tuesday after the St. Louis County Industrial Development Authority gave preliminary approval to issue up to $45 million in tax-exempt bonds that would help finance the complex.

St. Louis Proposes Guidelines for Tax Incentives
Those who support the use of incentives argue many projects wouldn't have been built without them and that much of the forgone tax revenue never would have been generated. But critics say the city has historically put few limits on incentives, unnecessarily subsidizing some projects.

$16M IDA Bonds May Support New St. Louis County Athletic Facility
The St. Louis County Economic Development Partnership has offered an informal commitment of $16 million in tax exempt Industrial Development Authority bonds to support a 74-acre development of indoor sports domes with basketball and volleyball courts, indoor softball and little league fields.

$1B P3 Terminal Proposed for Kansas City International Airport
A $1 billion terminal at Kansas City International Airport would be designed, financed, and built by engineering firm Burns & McDonnell under a public-private partnership proposal to be outlined to the Kansas City, Mo., City Council.
