NY Program Helps Businesses Rebuild after Sandy
Empire State Development's Capital Access Program, which received funding from the U.S. Treasury's State Small Business Credit Initiative, has supported more than $5 million in lending to businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Riverkeeper Sues NY on Tappan Zee Bridge Clean Water Loan
A group of environmental advocates is suing the state for its attempt to tap a clean water fund for the Tappan Zee Bridge project. Environmental groups are arguing that the clean water fund is intended for sewage treatment projects, not bridge construction activities.

Jersey City Gets $5M in State Funds for Berry Lane Park
NJ EDA has awarded $5 million to Jersey City for the development of a municipal park as part of a brownfields to greenfields initiative. According to the Jersey Journal, the city is also utilizing $1.3 million of Green Acres funding to acquire other parcels of land for the park.

Tax Credits Enable NJ Food Firm to Expand
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority approved $13.77 million in tax credits over 10-years to Allied Foods. According to The Daily Journal, the company will nearly double in size by adding 127 new employees to the existing 70.

NY Approves $1.8B Bond Sale for 3 World Trade
A $1.8B bond sale for 3 World Trade Center tower has been approved, according to Bloomberg. The development will also be financed by $55M of equity from developer Larry Silverstein, $210M from the Port Authority and contributions from the state and city.
