Costco Seeks $3M from Dallas for New Store
The Dallas Office of Economic Development will ask the City Council to approve a Chapter 380 economic development grant, which will not exceed $3,000,000, for Costco to open its first store within city limits.

SA Microlender Gains $25K Grant, $500K Investment from OK Bank
Bank SNB has awarded small-business lender LiftFund a $25,000 grant and a $500,000 investment. The funding will help LiftFund support entrepreneurs by offering the tools necessary to start, stabilize or grow their businesses.

Waco, TX Approves $13M Tax Deal, Considers Incentives Deal
Waco City Council has approved a business grant agreement worth $13 million for Allergan Pharmaceuticals to expand a local factory. The city is also considering a $4 million incentive payment for the project.

Denison, TX Approves Sale of $7.5M in Bonds
The Denison City Council has approved the sale of $7.475 million in bonds to finance the development of THF Park, an 80-acre park near the intersection of FM 691 and U.S. Highway 75.

Historic Fort Worth Building May Lose TIF Designation
The Lancaster Avenue TIF Board may cancel Texas & Pacific Warehouse's status as a TIF recipient. President Ola Assem was placed in default because she could not produce financial records that show the project had at least $35 million in construction financing

Tyler, TX Toll 49 Prepares for $225M Bond Issuance
A panel guiding the expansion of Tyler's Loop 49 learned that it will be in good position to issue $225 million in bonds by mid-June. The bonds will finance the toll road extension from Interstate 20 to U.S. 69 north of Lindale.

Funding Tweak Could Accelerate New Sidewalk Connections in Downtown Waco
Under a proposal from Waco city staff, the TIF board would approve enough money for developers to rebuild the entire block of sidewalks that are connections among the "islands" of activity in downtown, including RiverSquare Center, Austin Avenue and the area around Magnolia Market.
