City of Tyler Must Spend $65M Over Next 10 Years to Upgrade Wastewater Infrastructure
The city of Tyler is facing $563,000 in fines from the EPA for failing to report sewer overflows among other failing infrastructure issues. It is estimated the city will have to spend around 65 million dollars over the next 10 years to get the pipes taken care of. 

Victoria's City Council OKs $1.7M to Improve Red River Infrastructure
A roughly $1.7 million project, which will replace water and sewer lines, remove and replace sections of curbs and gutters on Red River Street between Ben Jordan and Laurent streets, has been approved by the City Council of Victoria.

Eagle Lake Faces $5M in Water Infrastructure Work
The city of Eagle Lake heard more on plans for $5 million in water and sewer infrastructure repairs at the Jan. 10 Eagle Lake city council meeting. The cost estimate the city received is for about $5 million dollars.

FEMA Awards Smithville Grant to Build Retention Pond, Reduce Flooding
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded the city $830,000 to build a 5-acre water detention pond in northeast Smithville.
